Natural toxins are poisonous substances produced by living organisms, such as bacteria, blue-green algae, fungi, vascular plants, marine invertebrates, fish, venomous arthropods (spiders, insects, and scorpions), amphibians, and reptiles. Natural toxins create many health problems that threat the life of the human being and may lead to death in case of severe poisoning. Natural toxins not only contain toxic compounds but also contain specific fractions that possess important therapeutic properties and biological activities.

On behalf of the Egyptian Society of Natural Toxins we invite all interested colleagues from different parts of the world to join us and enrich our activities seeking for improvement of performance and providing help to the humanity. We are concerned with the toxic living organisms as well as the danger and the benefits of their toxins.
